Born in 1994, Ferdinando Trematore develops an active career as solo violinist and chamber musician. He has been declared winner in more than 20 national and international competitions, both as soloist and chamber musician. Trematore began studying violin at age five with his father and, at age of 15, under the guidance of Maestro Marco Fiorentini he graduated from the Conservatorio “U. Giordano" in Foggia (Italy) with maximum qualifications and Highest Distinction. He studied with Maestro Boris Belkin at Zuyd University Conservatorium of Maastricht, where he obtained the Master of Music Degree in July 2018 with the highest qualification. Moreover, he studied with M° Sonig Tchakerian in the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Roma, where in May 2017 obtains the scholarship “Settimane Musicali al Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza” as the best student of the Accademia and in July 2018 obtains the Master Degree in violin performance with the Highest Distinction. Currently he studies with Mº S. Accardo at the Accademia Stauffer in Cremona and with Mº P. Berman at the Academia Perosi in Biella. Regarding chamber music, he graduated from the International Chamber Music Academy of Duino (Trieste) under the guidance of the “Trio di Parma”. Actually con il Mº S. In 2005 he founded along with her sister Angela the “Duo Federiciano”, with which he performs regularly in Italy and Europe and since 2017 he also collaborates in a violin duo with the Spanish violinist Martina Alonso Benavides.
As a soloist he has performed with several orchestras all over Europe. In November 2009 he performed Mozart’s violin concerto in G major, K 216, under the baton of M° L. Fiore in the Great Hall of the University of Economy in Foggia. One year later he performed along with his sister the Double Concerto for violin, piano and orchestra by F. Mendelssohn, with the Rome International Orchestra conducted by Maestro G. Proietti at the “11° International Festival of Music in Campagnano Romano”(Roma). In October 2012 he performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto conducted by Maestro Maffeo Scarpis at “Teatro Da Ponte” in Vittorio Veneto, a concert broadcasted live on Rai Television Radio 3. He performs this concerto in several other occasions, for instance with the Orchestra of the Conservatorio "U. Giordano" in Foggia conducted by Maestro Pablo Varela (March 2013) and later the same year with the Orchestra Sinfonica del Teatro Giuseppe Verdi in San Severo (Foggia) under the baton of Maestro Luca Testa. In October 2016, after winning the Violin Contest BAM he performed Ravel’s “Tzigane Rapsodie de Concert” with the BAM Symphony Orchestra in a European Tour (Maastricht, Antwerp, Brussels) under the baton of Bas Wiegers. In March 2017 Trematore performs Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto N.1 with Tommaso Ussardi and the Orchestra Senzaspine. In August of the same year he performs Bernstein’s “Serenade alfer Plato’s Symposium” in the “Festival Accademia Chigiana” in Siena with the Orchestra dei Conservatori della Toscana. In July 2018 he performed Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto with the Orchestra della Toscana and Alessandro Cadario in a tournée in Italy. In the same year, he appeared in the Amiata Piano Festival as the first violin of the octet created by the cellist Silvia Chiesa, which was streamed in the National Italian Radio ¨Rai¨. In January 2020 Ferdinando made his debut with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo with Mozart Concert n.4, while in February 2020 he made his debut in Kuwait with two recitals at the Yarmouk Cultural Center Theater (Dar Al Athar Al Isalmiya) and the Cultural Center AUM (American University of Middle East), concerts organized by the Embassy of Italy in Kuwait in collaboration with the Accademia Chigiana.
Among others, Trematore has participated in competitions such as the 11° National Violin Competition "Bruno Zanella" at Crevalcore in Bologna (May 2010) winning first prize; the 45° National Violin Competition "Mario Benvenuti" in Vittorio Veneto (September 2010) obtaining also first prize. In the summer of 2011 he was one of three winners honored at the 16° Music Festival of the Best Graduates from Italian Conservatories in Castrocaro Terme (Forlì) with CD recording released by the national music magazine "Suonare News" and received the audience award "Jupiter". In November 2011 Trematore was awarded the third prize to XXXIV International Violin Competition "Valentino Bucchi" in Rome and the prize "A. Spada", as the youngest competitor. In November 2012 he participated in 30° International Violin Competition "Michelangelo Abbado" in Milan where he obtained third prize. As member of the Duo Federiciano he won the first prize at 19° International Chamber Music Competition "Giulio Rospigliosi" in Lamporecchio (Pistoia). In May 2013 Trematore won the International Violin Competition "F. Di Pietrantonio" at Piombino (Livorno), winning a violin built by master luthier Fabrizio Di Pietrantonio. The same month, participates at the International Violin Competition “Valsesia Musica” in Varallo, winning the prize of the youngest finalist. In November 2013 he won the second prize at the 17th International Chember Music Competition "Luigi Nono" of Venaria Reale (Torino) and in April 2014 he won the first prize at the International Violin Competition "Dario Anselmi" in Magliano Sabina (Rieti). In May 2014 he received the first absolute prize at the International Violin Competition "Pescetto Foundation" of Varazze (Savona). In June 2014 he won the first prize in the International Chamber Music Competition "Hyperion Sonia Pahor" in Ciampino (Rome). In March 2015 he won the 2015 Music Award Maastricht, the international violin competition that rewards every three years the best violinist and student of the Conservatory of Maastricht.
Trematore has participated in several international music festivals, such as the International Music Festival in Maribor and Ruše (Sloveny) in May 2009, the Chamber Music Course of Maestro Lonquich at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena (summer of 2013) and participated in Chamber Music Courses with the Trio of Parma in Portugruaro winning a prize as the best chamber music group. He participates annually in the masterclasses of Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena with Boris Belkin, obtaining in July 2015 the Scholarship as the Best Violinist of the courses and winning a Recital to be held in June 2016 in the prestigious Palazzo Chigi of Siena as part of the "Micat in Vertice" of the Accademia Chigiana. In July 2016 he was invited to the Festival de Musique de Chambre de Lavasseau (France) and later that year Trematore was invited to perform as a soloist in Tel Aviv and Netanya’s Gems Festival in Israel.
Trematore plays an original Antonio Guadagnini, Torino 1881, awarded by the prestigious Fondazione ProCanale of Milano.
